PARIS (AP) — Rain earlier in the day means play will not be completed today at the French Open in Paris. Men's defending champion Stan Wawrinka (vah-VRINK'-ah) advanced to the second round but it took five sets against the 59th ranked player in the world, Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic.
TORONTO (AP) — After turning in a mediocre performance two nights ago and losing to the Raptors 99-84, Cleveland is out to take a 3-1 lead in their NBA Eastern Conference final tonight. Should the Raptors win the game on their own court the series will be tied at 2-2 with Game 5 set for Cleveland.
ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis-San Jose NHL Western Conference final is tied at 2-2. This evening in St. Louis the two clubs will face off again in Game 5 with a Game 6 guaranteed for Wednesday night in San Jose.
NEW YORK (AP) — Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady is going to appeal his four-game suspension by the NFL. The NFL Players Association has announced that Brady will seek a second hearing before the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court, the same court that ruled 2-1 on April 25 that Commissioner Roger Goodell (guh-DEHL') was within his rights to suspend Brady for his alleged involvement in Deflategate.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Mets and Nationals open up a three-game series tonight in Washington. These are the top two clubs in the National League East and on the mound for visiting New York will be Bartolo Colon (bahr-TOH'-loh kuh-LOHN') while the Nats counter with Gio Gonzalez.
