RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State has added center Omer Yurtseven to its basketball roster.
Team spokesman Fred Demarest on Monday confirmed that the school had received his signed letter of intent.
Yurtseven is a 7-foot center from Turkey who scored 91 points in a game for his Turkish under-18 team this weekend.
His addition strengthens a Wolfpack team that this offseason lost two players to transfer and had three underclassmen declare for the NBA Draft. Two of them — big men BeeJay Anya and Abdul-Malik Abu — still have the option to return.
North Carolina State also added 6-7 forward Darius Hicks over the weekend.
