WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) — Taylor Townsend of Atlanta has clinched a French Open main-draw wild card from the U.S. Tennis Association.

Townsend compiled the top results in a series of USTA Pro Circuit clay-court tournaments, including reaching the final of an event at Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, on Saturday.

The 20-year-old Townsend, currently ranked 208th, won a title in Charlottesville, Virginia, and reached the final at Dothan, Alabama.

This will be her third consecutive appearance in the main draw at Roland Garros, which starts May 22.

In 2014, she also earned a USTA wild card and wound up reaching the third round, beating 20th-seeded Alize Cornet of France.
