LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say the Las Vegas Strip was closed while officers investigated a multi-vehicle crash with at least one person injured near the Caesars Palace resort. Police Officer Jesse Roybal says the crash happened about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday on Las Vegas Boulevard.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval says he plans to vote for Donald Trump after fellow governor John Kasich and all other major Republican candidates dropped out of the race. Sandoval said he doesn't agree with Trump on all the issues, but says the Democratic nominee is not an option.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Major construction on Resorts World Las Vegas is expected to begin later this year, with plans for the Chinese-themed resort on the Las Vegas Strip to open in 2019. The Las Vegas Sun reports that project officials had initially planned for a 2018 opening of the hotel-casino.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Nevada's attorney general is asking a federal appeals court to reinstate a 1996 murder conviction struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court because prosecutors may have failed to prove the 14-year-old killer knew what he did was wrong. Peter Elvik was living with his grandparents in Carson City when he was convicted of fatally shooting 63-year-old William Gibson in 1995.
