WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) — Wilmington police say that no one will be charged in the death of a University of North Carolina Wilmington student.
The Wilmington Police Department said in a news release Tuesday that the department and the district attorney's office have determined that no charges are expected to be filed against anyone following 22-year-old Connor Vogel's April 16 death.
Police spokeswoman Linda Rawley had said that Vogel fell and later died as a result of a fight off campus.
Officials said Tuesday that the fight was "a consensual sparring match."
Vogel was a junior studying computer science at the university.
