NEW YORK, Aug 1, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- The author of the "Harry Potter" series, J.K. Rowling, is headed for New York for the first of two question-and-answer sessions with fans.
The event, which is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday nights, will be at the Radio City Music hall and will benefit Doctors Without Borders and the Haven Foundation, the New York Post reported.
Authors Stephen King and John Irving will also appear at the event.
All three writers will read from their selected works and answer questions submitted by fans.
"Harry Potter" fans have been preparing for Rowling's visit for months, mulling over questions online for the author, they want to know the title and length of the seventh -- and last -- book in the series, its release date, more about Professor Snape's past and whether Hermione will end up with Ron or Harry.
