Salt Lake City, Utah (August 1, 2006) - Utah Jazz Sr. Vice President of Basketball Operations, Kevin O'Connor, announced today that the team has signed Paul Millsap. Per club policy, terms of the contract were not released.

Millsap played in six games (three starts) for the Jazz in the 2006 Rocky Mountain Revue and averaged 9.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in 22.5 minutes of action. Named to the All-Revue Team, Millsap finished the tournament ranked second in rebounds (9.0) per game, tied for ninth in scoring (9.5) and tied for sixth in blocks (0.67).

The 6-8 forward out of Louisiana Tech was drafted by the Utah Jazz in the second round of the 2006 NBA Draft (47th pick overall). In his three years at Louisiana Tech, Millsap played in 92 games (91 starts) and averaged 18.6 points and 12.7 rebounds per game.

He is the only player in NCAA Division I history to lead the nation in rebounding for three consecutive years.
