LOS ANGELES (AP) — Federal prosecutors say three people connected to the San Bernardino, California, shooter have been arrested in an alleged marriage fraud conspiracy. An FBI spokeswoman earlier confirmed that warrants were served in the cities of Corona and Ontario. She said it's an investigation stemming from the San Bernardino attack, but she declined to elaborate.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Minnesota judge has sealed a search warrant in the investigation of Prince's death. Authorities argued that making it public would hamper their work. The search warrant is for Paisley Park, the musician's home and recording studio complex in suburban Minneapolis, where Prince died on April 21. No cause of death has been determined, and results of an autopsy aren't expected for three to four weeks.
UNDATED (AP) — Ted Cruz says John Boehner (BAY'-nur) let his "inner Trump come out" when the former House speaker described Cruz as "Lucifer in the flesh." Boehner told a Stanford University audience this week that he has never worked with a more miserable person than Cruz. But the Texas senator says he never actually worked with Boehner, and he'd be surprised if they ever exchanged more than 50 words. The two clashed in 2013 when Boehner was House speaker over Cruz's role in forcing a partial government shutdown.
YORKVILLE, Ill. (AP) — An Illinois judge says a man who alleges that Dennis Hastert sexually abused him doesn't have to disclose his name in his lawsuit against the former U.S. speaker of the House. Kendall County Judge Robert Pilmer ruled today that a man known in court documents as Individual A can proceed with his lawsuit anonymously. But he didn't rule out requiring him to reveal his name in the future. The lawsuit alleges that Hastert still owes him $1.8 million of the $3.5 million he was promised for keeping quiet about sexual abuse that occurred when the man was 14 and Hastert was a high school wrestling coach.
