NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — Southwest Idaho police say a woman and her 6-month-old infant sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a van while crossing a street.
Nampa Police Department Sgt. Tim Riha says the baby flew out of the stroller and the woman was pushed to the street in the Wednesday collision in Nampa.
Riha tells the Idaho Press-Tribune (http://bit.ly/1SMR9Nk) that the baby didn't appear to suffer any injuries but started crying when an ambulance arrived. The woman and child were both sent to a local hospital.
Riha says the woman was crossing the street outside a crosswalk.
He says police are investigating and no citations have been issued.
