WASHINGTON (AP) — With five convincing primary victories in hand, Donald Trump has strengthened his grip on the Republican presidential race. Trump is headed to Indiana today after first delivering a foreign policy speech in Washington. Meanwhile, Democrat Hillary Clinton is 90 percent of the way to her party's nomination, having won four out of five Northeast primaries.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A day after huge hail and high winds, another foul forecast is in the offing for the nation's midsection. The National Weather Service says 60 million people from the Gulf Coast to the Midwest east to North Carolina and Virginia should be alert for strong storms. The nastiest weather is predicted from Houston north into Iowa.

PARIS (AP) — Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam is now in French custody, and will go before investigating judges for eventual charges. Abdeslam was arrested in Belgium last month after four months on the run. He's wanted in France for his role in the Nov. 13 Paris attacks that killed 130 victims.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea is apparently getting ready for some target practice. South Korea says the North has built a half-size mock-up of the South's presidential palace at a firing range. North Korea in recent weeks has repeatedly threatened to strike the presidential palace and government buildings in Seoul (sohl).

LONGWOOD, Fla. (AP) — Authorities in central Florida are crediting a German shepherd with helping save two young children from a burning home. The dog, named Maxx, helped firefighters locate the 4-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl in heavy smoke as a blaze destroyed their home in the Orlando suburb of Longwood. The parents also survived.
