KAYENTA, Ariz. (AP) — Community gathers to celebrate the opening of a $150 million hospital on the Navajo Nation. The hospital will serve about 20,000 people and replaces a health center that was built in 1959.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Federal wildlife agency agrees to a November 2017 deadline to craft a recovery plan for the endangered Mexican gray wolf. Farm bureaus in three states are expected to challenge the settlement in federal court.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Officials say handguns and objects designed to look like weapons are routinely seized at Salt Lake City International Airport. The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Ron Malin with Utah for the Transportation Security Administration says it's common for the airport to come across several weapons and fake weapons each month.

VERNAL, Utah (AP) — Utah State University's Uintah Basin campus has named a new executive director to oversee operations of its Roosevelt and Vernal locations. The Deseret News reports that the university announced Wednesday that James Taylor would take over as executive director on June 1.
