WASHINGTON (AP) — Nationals starting pitcher Tanner Roark (ROH'-ark) had 15 strikeouts before being pulled after seven innings of work in today's home game with Minnesota. With new manager Dusty Baker, along with the slugging of Bryce Harper, the Nats are off to a great start to the season.
NEW YORK (AP) — Yankees reliever Branden Pinder is facing a big decision. He has a partial ligament tear in his right elbow and may need Tommy John surgery. Yankees manager Joe Girardi says Pinder will decide sometime in the next couple of days whether to have the ligament-replacement surgery or try a rehabilitation program.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — IndyCar racing is back in the spotlight this weekend. The race is the IndyCar Grand Prix of Alabama and the qualifying for tomorrow's race is taking place today.
