NEW YORK (AP) — The stock market is closing out a mixed day mostly higher. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 21 points, or 0.1 percent, to 18,003. The S&P 500 index was little changed at 2,091. And the Nasdaq composite fell more than 39 points, or 0.8 percent, to 4,906.

NEW YORK (AP) — Crude oil futures prices are ending the week higher. The near-month contract for the U.S. benchmark grade rose 55 cents, or 1.3 percent today, closing at $43.73 a barrel in New York. Brent crude, used to price international oils, gained 58 cents, or 1.3 percent, to close at $45.11 a barrel in London.

DETROIT (AP) — Fiat Chrysler is recalling more than 1.1 million cars and midsize SUVs worldwide because their gear shifters may confuse drivers and allow them to exit their vehicles without placing them in "park." The recall covers the 2012-2014 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 sedans and the 2014-2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV.

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — California has a new 10-year apparel contract with Under Armour. A person familiar with the deal says Cal will receive about $86 million in cash, apparel for the teams and operational support under the terms of the contract. The contract will net Cal about $2 million more in cash each year than it got under the previous contract with Nike. It begins July 1, 2017.

NEW YORK (AP) — New York City's mayor is pushing building owners to update heating and power systems in order to help meet his goal of cutting greenhouse gas emissions 80 percent by 2050. Bill de Blasio (dih BLAH'-zee-oh) announced the new energy efficiency measures today, which is Earth Day. He says the city has set bold goals as it takes on climate change.
