EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State's athletic department has announced a 15-year multimedia rights partnership with Fox Sports that will provide guaranteed revenues of over $150 million.

The partnership takes effect for the 2016-17 academic year, with Michigan State granting Fox Sports marketing and corporate partnership rights. The rights will include radio and television programming.

Michigan State says it was the last school within the top five conferences to manage its rights in-house. Athletic director Mark Hollis says it's the right time to partner with Fox Sports, which can focus on building Michigan State's brand. Fox Sports Detroit and the Big Ten Network are part of the Fox Sports family of networks.
