CHANHASSEN, Minn. (AP) — The pop music superstar Prince has died at his Minnesota home. That word comes from his publicist, who says Prince was found dead today in suburban Minneapolis. He was 57. He was widely considered one of the most inventive musicians of his time, with hits including "Little Red Corvette," ''Let's Go Crazy" and "When Doves Cry." He was inducted 12 years ago into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which hailed him as a musical and social trailblazer. There are no details yet on how Prince died.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — The White House says the U.S and Gulf Arab allies have agreed to various security initiatives designed to defeat the Islamic State group, as well as to counter Iran's actions in the region. They did so at a summit in Saudi Arabia attended by President Barack Obama. While there, Obama warned that the fragile cease-fire in Syria is on the verge of collapse. But he offered few hints about any alternative strategy if that happens.

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Part of an elevated bike lane that was built in Rio de Janeiro ahead of the Olympic Games has collapsed -- killing at least two people. They were on the elevated lane when cement gave way and crashed onto the beach below. Rio de Janeiro is hosting the Summer Games beginning in August and the bike lane was among the projects built in preparation. While no Olympic event will be held on the path, the collapse will likely add to worries about Brazil's readiness to host the Games.

ATLANTA (AP) — Investigators say they've positively identified a body found in a wooded part of east Georgia as a Florida priest who has been missing since April 10. Dental records confirm the body is that of the Rev. Rene Wayne Robert. A Florida man, Steve Murray, faces a murder charge in Georgia in connection with the priest's death. At a court appearance today, he said he's "very sorry." An autopsy found that Robert was shot multiple times.

HOUSTON (AP) — Thunderstorms in the Houston area today have worsened flooding in areas of the city that had been drenched earlier in the week.
