First up, due to a previous commitment, I was unable to to file this morning and update you on the Cougars' personnel situation--a situation of which you are all well aware, by now (Collie stress fracture, Bauman bruise, Afutiti paperwork). You see, I was enjoying my last hours of pre-camp freedom by playing in a Stake golf tournament (which we won, minimal thanks to me).
But I'm back on the clock, and leaving now for the practice field. Check back in a few hours for my first update and interviews.

Numbers note: In a nice touch, WR Tyler Kozlowski has taken his Dad's old #7. And obviously immune to any thoughts of negative numerology, WR Luke Ashworth has adopted the #13 jersey (shared by walk-on QB Christian Stewart).

Yesterday's final pre-camp trivia question was answered correctly "collectively," if not individually. It was 1997 that the Cougars were last ranked in the preseason Top 25--17th by the Coaches, and 19th by the AP.
