DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Duke says Azura Stevens and Angela Salvadores are leaving the women's basketball program.

Coach Joanne P. McCallie said in a statement Friday that Stevens is transferring while Salvadores is returning to Spain to turn pro.

Stevens, a sophomore, ranked second in the Atlantic Coast Conference by averaging 18.9 points and led the league with 9.6 rebounds per game. She was an honorable mention selection to the AP All-America team announced earlier this week.

The Raleigh native says it's best "for my basketball career to go in a different direction."

Salvadores is from Leon, Spain, and averaged 8.7 points as a freshman.

Duke finished 20-12 but missed the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 22 years.
