WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump says he's not about to tell his campaign manager "you're fired." Corey Lewandowski turned himself into police in Florida today on a simple assault charge. The case stems from an encounter with a reporter attempting to ask Trump a question. Trump says he refused to "destroy a man's life." The billionaire disputed former Breitbart News reporter Michelle Fields' account of what happened. The incident was captured by security video.
UNITED NATIONS (AP) — A new report says the United Nations and partners delivered badly needed medical and food supplies to about 150,000 people in besieged areas of Syria since the start of last month's cease-fire. Supplies were delivered to 10 of the 18 areas under siege. By comparison, less than 1 percent of areas designated as besieged received food aid in all of 2015.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Two Mormon missionaries wounded in a bombing attack at the Brussels airport have returned to Utah to receive treatment in their home state. Church officials say Mason Wells and Joseph Empey are in fair condition at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City. ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta city leaders are asking the NBA to move the 2017 All-Star Game from Charlotte after North Carolina lawmakers passed legislation seen as limiting LGBT protections. Backers of the law say it protects privacy in public restrooms. Opponents say it discriminates against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Some on social media are jokingly referring to a new state, "Rhode Iceland." Sharp-eyed viewers noticed that a promotional YouTube video promoting tourism in Rhode Island featured a skateboarder outside a glass building that is actually a concert hall in Reykjavik (RAY'-kyuh-vik), Iceland's capital. The goof was blamed on an editing firm, in Providence.
