LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas Sands casino executives say they're serious about trying to build a $1.3 billion stadium at UNLV and attract an NFL team there. Proponents of the stadium laid out their case for building a 65,000-seat venue at a meeting today of the Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee.
NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Commission on Ethics has dismissed complaints against the North Las Vegas mayor after a lengthy investigation. Two North Las Vegas employees filed a 100-page complaint against Mayor John Lee in March 2015, accusing him of cronyism and engaging in what they called a "reign of terror" at city hall.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Airport officials say 3.4 million people flew in and out of Las Vegas in February, a nearly 9 percent increase compared to a year ago. McCarran International Airport says traffic was up 8.9 percent last month compared to February 2015.
RENO, Nev. (AP) — Tickets to the Burning Man festival sold out just half an hour after they became available online. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that more than 70,000 people vied to purchase 30,000 tickets. The $390 tickets went on sale yesterday, Burning Man is an annual arts gathering in Northern Nevada's Black Rock Desert.
