BRUSSELS (AP) — Two French police officials have told The Associated Press that Salah Abdeslam, the main fugitive from Islamic extremist attacks in Paris in November, has been arrested in Belgium's capital after four months at large. They say he was arrested in a major police operation in the Brussels neighborhood of Molenbeek. Authorities have said Abdeslam was among several attackers who targeted cafes, a rock concert and a stadium in Paris' deadliest attacks in decades, which killed 130 people.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Jurors have begun deliberating in the civil trial of pro wrestler Hulk Hogan's lawsuit against Gawker media over a sex video. Lawyers for both Hogan and Gawker gave closing arguments this morning. Hogan is suing Gawker for $100 million for posting a video in 2012 of him having sex with his former best friend's wife. Hogan contends it was a violation of his privacy.

NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks are higher, putting them on track to extend a winning streak that has erased most of this year's early losses. Health care stocks are recovering after a punishing week. Starwood Hotels and Columbia Pipeline Group are climbing after they each agreed to be acquired.

BALTIMORE (AP) — A Baltimore police officer has been found guilty of second-degree assault and misconduct in office. This, after a video appeared to show him spitting on a man in handcuffs last year. Prosecutors say Sgt. Robert Messner, a 34-year veteran of the force, was sentenced yesterday to two years of probation, a $500 fine, anger management, community service and reassignment. His police powers were suspended in October after a video of the arrest surfaced.

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A Florida school official says common sense should have prevailed before allowing a fire-breather to perform indoors at a high school pep rally. The superintendent at Palm Beach County schools says it's a "problem" when fire is used inside a building. Doctors say 52-year-old fire-breather Ricky Charles suffered second-degree burns to his face, arm and thigh in yesterday's accident. He'd been performing before hundreds of students in Atlantic High's gym. Seven students were briefly hospitalized after breathing fire extinguisher dust. No employees have been disciplined so far.
