SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (AP) — Nancy Reagan was remembered during a funeral service filled with poignant and often humorous memories. Mourners gathered at the Reagan presidential library in Simi Valley, California, to pay final tribute to the former first lady, who died last Sunday at age 94. Among those attending were first lady Michelle Obama, former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, Hillary Clinton and former first lady Rosalynn Carter.

Addressing an audience of tech enthusiasts in Austin, Texas, Obama said both values are important. He did not specifically address Apple's legal fight with the federal government over a locked iPhone used in last year's shooting attack in San Bernardino, California.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio's elections chief is denouncing a judge's decision to grant a request to let 17-year-olds vote in the swing state's presidential primary this Tuesday. Republican Secretary of State Jon Husted (HYOO'-sted) says a county court shouldn't have the power to change election law so close to a primary. He says he will appeal.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Keith Emerson, founder and keyboardist of the progressive-rock band Emerson, Lake and Palmer, has died. He was 71. His longtime partner says she found Emerson dead early today at their condo in Santa Monica, California. She declined to disclose the cause of his death.
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A colleague of SXSW co-founder Louis Meyers says the musician has died on the day the major entertainment festival opened for the 30th year. He was 60. Folk Alliance International Director Aengus Finnan says Meyers died today in Austin.
