ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Lions have re-signed defensive tackle Tyrunn Walker to a one-year contract.

Walker started four games last season before going on injured reserve in early October because of a dislocated ankle and broken leg. He played 23 games for New Orleans in 2013 and 2014, then the Lions signed him to a one-year contract before last season.

The Lions announced Walker's return Friday. He was one of the players Detroit brought in last season to try to replace Ndamukong Suh, who had left via free agency. Haloti Ngata started 14 games for Detroit, and fellow defensive tackle Caraun Reid started 12 as Walker missed most of the season injured.
