LONDON (AP) — Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says goalkeeper Petr Cech will miss up to four weeks because of injury, the latest blow to the team's English Premier League title chances.
Cech injured his calf muscle on Wednesday as he raced back toward his own penalty area after coming up for a corner in the last minute of the 2-1 home loss to Swansea.
Wenger said on Friday that Cech will be out for three to four weeks. That prognosis definitely rules the goalkeeper out of three Premier League games — against Tottenham, West Bromwich Albion and Everton — as well as an FA Cup fifth-round replay against Hull and the second leg of a Champions League last-16 match against Barcelona.
Arsenal has lost its last two league games and dropped to third place - six points behind leader Leicester.
