PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Temple freshman guard Trey Lowe is likely to miss the remainder of the season due to injuries sustained in a one-car accident early Sunday morning.

The school released a statement Tuesday saying Lowe, a native of Ewing, New Jersey, is receiving medical care for upper body injuries at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

"I visited Trey and his family on both Sunday and Monday at the hospital," Temple head coach Fran Dunphy said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time and we are hopeful that he will make a full recovery."

Ewing has played in all 28 games this season, starting five. He is the Owls' sixth-leading scorer at 4.8 points per game. He scored a career-high 21 points against then-No. 1 Villanova on Feb. 17.
