OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting the first flu-related deaths in the state for the current season.

The department said Thursday that three people have died due to influenza. The deaths are reported in Harper, Rogers and Tulsa counties with one death in the 50-64 age group and two who were 65 or older.

The department also said there have been 204 people hospitalized with the flu since the season began in early October.

Influenza in the state for the 2015-16 season has been sharply lower than the 2014-15 season when at least 114 people died of the flu and more than 2,000 people were hospitalized.

Flu symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue.
