COVINGTON, Wash. (AP) — A King County high school cheerleading coach is facing charges over allegations that he sent nude photos of himself to two students on the cheer squad.
KIRO-TV reports (http://goo.gl/Ee2TWH ) that 29-year-old Benjamin David Canty, of Auburn, was charged Monday with two counts of communication with a minor for immoral purposes.
Canty, who is a volunteer coach for Kentwood High School, is accused of sending photos on Snapchat to two male students, who were 15 and 17 at the time. The director of human resources for the Kent School District reported the incident to authorities in August.
Canty has volunteered with the district for seven years and also volunteers for a private cheer squad.
