JACKSON, Mich. (AP) — Officials say seven students have been suspended following a fight after a boys' high school basketball game in southern Michigan.
The fight occurred after Vandercook Lake defeated East Jackson 47-46 at the buzzer on Friday.
The fight also is under investigation by police. Blackman-Leoni Public Safety Department Director Mike Jester says the investigating officer has reviewed video of the fight and interviewed people involved. He says a report is expected to be completed this week.
The report is expected to be reviewed by the Jackson County prosecutor's office.
The Jackson Citizen Patriot reports (http://bit.ly/1VEwnPT ) one East Jackson student athlete got an athletic suspension, one student athlete was suspended from school and two students were suspended from school. Three Vandercook Lake students also got school suspensions.
