French screen legend Catherine Deneuve will star in an edgy episode of the dark humor American series "Nip/Tuck" that features plastic surgeons living in Miami glamour, television officials said Thursday.
"It's in production right now, the shows are to air between September and December," John Solberg, a spokesman for FX network, which has aired the show since 2003, told AFP.
Deneuve, 63, will feature in an over-the-top plot line for which the show is famous: she will have her breasts implanted with her husband's ashes after his mysterious death, according to the Internet television watchdog Zap2It.com.
"It's a woman who comes in and wants her husband's cremated ashes put in her breast implants so she can always be close to her husband," "Nip/Tuck" creator Ryan Murphy was quoted as saying by the Internet site.
"And then, of course, the question is why does she want to get rid of these ashes? What has she fed her husband? It's that kind of a whodunit."
The fourth season's episodes will also feature recurring parts for Brooke Shields and Kathleen Turner, the site reported.
