BALTIMORE (AP) — Cam Ward had a perfect night and Vermont rode his hot hand to a 99-54 rout of Maryland-Baltimore County Saturday night in its final road game.

The sophomore was 7 for 7 from the field to set a career high for field goals made, hit all six 3-pointers he launched to set a career high, and was 4 for 4 from the line to finish with a career-high 24 points.

The Catamounts (17-12, 9-5 America East) built a 28-point lead by intermission and limited UMBC to just 27 points in each half. Meanwhile Vermont shot a blistering 69.1 percent from the field as a team, knocking down 38 of 55 attempts, including 9 of 18 from beyond the arc. The Catamounts converted 14 of 16 from the line.

Jairus Lyles scored 19 points to lead UMBC (6-23, 2-12), but he was the only Retrievers scorer to reach double figures.
