The iconic black dress worn by screen siren Audrey Hepburn in the classic film "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is being auctioned off to raise money for India's poor, Christie's auction house said Wednesday.
The dress has an estimate of 50,000-70,000 pounds (90,000-130,000 dollars, 75,000-100,000 euros) and goes under the hammer on December 5.
It is being auctioned on behalf of the charity City of Joy Aid, based in Kolkata, which helps under-privileged Indians through a network of clinics, schools, rehabilitation centres and hospital boats.
Hepburn wore the sleek, sleeveless Givenchy dress in her role as Holly Golightly in the popular 1961 movie.
