DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Only a fraction of Iowa's registered voters participate in the state's caucuses. So, campaigns on both sides of the aisle are focused on turning out voters. The higher the turnout, the better the outcomes could be for Donald Trump on the Republican side and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders on the Democratic side. Both are seeking to get nontraditional participants out.

UNDATED (AP) — The Democratic National Committee says it's reached an agreement in principal to have the party sanction and manage more debates during the presidential primary schedule, including a debate in New Hampshire next week. The DNC says it wants to give the three candidates time to focus on Monday's Iowa caucuses and will finalize details of the debates on Tuesday.

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — The Greek government is entering a new round of talks with its creditors, skeptical about the depth and efficacy of its pension reform plans and facing widespread protests over those plans. Talks with the quartet of creditors, including the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund, are set to resume Monday.

NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a man was slashed in the face in the sixth such attack in the New York subway system and on the streets this year. The victim was assaulted this morning in a Harlem station. On Tuesday, a woman was cut on her hand when she bumped into a man with a knife on a train in Brooklyn. Two suspects were arrested. Police are looking for suspects in the other attacks.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (AP) — The driver of a tractor-trailer that overturned on Interstate 95 in North Carolina today is facing charges including driving while impaired. The crash near Rocky Mount spilled hundreds of heads of cabbage that took hours to clear away. Authorities say traffic was backed up for at least 10 miles on the affected side of I-95 during the roadway cleanup.
