NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Chris Hooper scored 15 points to lead St. Francis Brooklyn to a 60-49 win over Central Connecticut State on Saturday.

Yunus Hopkinson added 14 points, including four 3-pointers, Antonio Jenifer had 11 points and Tyreek Jewell hauled in 10 rebounds for St. Francis (9-14, 5-5 Northeast Conference). The Terriers shot just 35 percent from the field but forced 16 turnovers.

Trailing 13-6 in the first half, St. Francis overtook Central Connecticut (2-19, 1-9) with a 12-0 run that included two 3-pointers from Jenifer and another from Dagur Jonsson and led the rest of the way.

The Blue Devils stayed close early in the second half, narrowing the deficit to two points on three straight possessions before Hopkinson drained a 3 to ignite a 7-2 spurt that made it 37-30 and the Terriers padded it down the stretch.

Jones finished with 14 points, while Brandon Peel had 10 and 11 boards.
