GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Dorian Finney-Smith scored 24 points to lead Florida to an 88-71 upset of No. 9 West Virginia. The victory for the 14-7 Gators is likely to help their chances of earning an NCAA Tournament bid. Jaysean Page and Tarik Phillip scored 15 apiece for 17-4 West Virginia, which gave up its most points of the season.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Malcolm Brogdon and Anthony Gill each scored 13 points in No. 11 Virginia's 63-47 rout of 14th-ranked Louisville. The 17-4 Cavaliers held the Cardinals to season lows in shooting at 33 percent and points. The Cavaliers also shot 58 percent from the field.
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Police in Texas are investigating allegations that troubled Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel (man-ZEHL') might have assaulted his ex-girlfriend. Fort Worth officers responded to a call for a possible assault early this morning. A 23-year-old woman there said she was involved in a disturbance in Dallas with her ex-boyfriend who police later identified as Manziel.
PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas (AP) — South Korea's Hee Young Park shot an 8-under 65 to take the clubhouse lead in the third round of the season-opening Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic. She is at 10-under par for the 54 holes.
MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Top-ranked Novak Djokovic (NOH'-vak JOH'-kuh-vich) faces Andy Murray for the Australian Open men's title in a repeat of last year's championship match. Djokovic won that one and 10 of the last 11 meetings between the two.
