FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) — Three teenagers have been charged as adults in the shooting death of a University of Arkansas at Fort Smith student last week.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that one 15-year-old boy and two 16-year-old boys are charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and two counts of aggravated robbery in the Saturday shooting death of 22-year-old Kaleb Watson.
Court documents say the three admitted to making plans to rob Watson, who was a neighbor of one of the suspects.
Authorities say Watson died of a gunshot wound at a local hospital after two men wearing black clothing and ski masks attempted to rob him and another woman at Watson's residence.
The suspects are being held without bail in the Sebastian County jail.
