SALT LAKE CITY — Utah gymnastics' sophomore Kari Lee is out for the season after suffering a foot injury during practice Tuesday.

The team announced Lee tore her left Achilles and will have surgery Friday.

Lee is a three-time All-American and was an NCAA event finalist on vault and floor last year as a freshman.

This season marked her first in the all-around lineup, where she has a 39.100 best against Oregon State and win versus Southern Utah University. She won the event title on beam against Southern Utah, counting for two season wins and eight in her career.

Lee has hit 10-12 routines this season and 50-54 career routines.
