SUNAPEE, N.H. (AP) — Police say a New Hampshire high school guidance counselor faces charges of indecent exposure and lewdness.

School officials say Newport High School guidance counselor Thomas Mauzy of Sunapee has been placed on administrative leave.

Police say Mauzy, who turned himself in Friday, is charged with seven counts of indecent exposure and lewdness.

Police said they do not believe any children are involved in the case. School officials say the allegations relate to off-campus conduct.

The 44-year-old Mauzy is due in court March 1. No listing for him could be found and it was not immediately known if he has a lawyer.
