GENESEO, N.Y. (AP) — The latest in the deaths of three young people at a home near a college campus in New York (all times local):
2:50 p.m.
Police say a 24-year-old man distraught over a recent break up stabbed to death his ex-girlfriend and another college student in her off-campus bedroom, then killed himself.
Police on Monday said Colin Kingston entered the apartment of 21-year-old Kelsey Annese before 6 a.m. Sunday near the State University of New York at Geneseo. Kingston found her with another student, 24-year-old Matthew Hutchinson, of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Police say Kingston killed them both with a large knife. Investigators say the former Geneseo student called his father before turning the knife on himself.
Kingston's father called police and officers found the bodies.
Annese played basketball for Geneseo. Hutchinson played hockey for the college.

A fire chief says one of three young people found dead in a house next to a western New York college was a volunteer firefighter who was a strong role model.
Fire chief Andrew Chanler says 24-year-old Matthew Hutchinson played hockey at the State University of New York at Geneseo but took every training opportunity despite his full schedule.
The body of the Vancouver, British Columbia man and two others were discovered Sunday morning near the campus about 35 miles south of Rochester. The others were identified as 21-year-old Kelsey Annese, of Webster, New York, and 24-year-old Colin Kingston, of Geneseo.
Police believe the perpetrator is among the dead.
Annese was a member of the basketball team at Geneseo. She wore the number 32, the same number her father wore when he played for the school.
