2 arrested after drug den found in Carbon County home

PRICE, Utah (AP) — Carbon County authorities have arrested two people suspected of housing an illegal drug den.

KSL-TV of Salt Lake City reports (http://bit.ly/1ZskvBg) that a task force comprised of Carbon County Sheriff's deputies and police from Price and Helper raided a home at 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police served a search warrant on a Price home belonging to Thomas Albert Sanchez.

Officers arrested the 31-year-old Sanchez and his live-in girlfriend, 21-year-old Sheena Lee Brimhall.

According to police, officers found several items of drug paraphernalia and various illegal drugs including under children's toys.

They also seized nearly $15,000, six firearms and ammunition.

Sanchez and Brimhall have been booked into Carbon County jail on several drug and weapons-related charges.

It was not immediately known if they had attorneys.
