KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) — Jarvis Garrett scored 19 points and dished out four assists to help Rhode Island to a 73-62 victory over La Salle on Saturday.

The win snapped a two-game losing skid for the Rams (11-7, 3-2 Atlantic 10).

Hassan Martin finished with 15 points on 7-for-7 shooting for Rhode Island, which shot 56. 8 percent from the field and 85.7 percent from the foul line. Kuran Iverson added 12 points and five assists.

Rhode Island opened on a 20-8 stretch, capped by an Earl Watson dunk, and led 31-22 at halftime. Back-to-back Garrett baskets late in the second half capped a 14-3 run that stretched the Rams lead to 65-49, their largest of the game.

Jordan Price scored 20 points to lead La Salle (5-10, 1-4), which has lost nine of its last 10. Johnnie Shuler added 16 points for the Explorers.
