The development comes as U.S. and Iranian officials agreed to a prisoner swap freeing four Americans held in Iran in exchange for seven Iranians held or charged in the United States.

BEIRUT (AP) — Syrian opposition activists say Islamic State militants have killed dozens of government forces in wide-scale attacks on government-held areas in eastern Syria. COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) — A Southern California man captured on video attacking an Uber driver has sued the driver for $5 million, claiming the video was recorded without his consent. Benjamin Golden of Newport Beach says the he suffered emotional distress, humiliation and the loss of his job after the video went viral. The former Taco Bell executive was arrested in November and charged with misdemeanor assault and battery. He was also sued by the driver, Edward Caban. Now the Orange County Register reports that Golden has filed a cross-complaint saying Caban illegally recorded him and posted the video to YouTube.
