WESTERLY, Rhode Island (AP) — An 8-year-old U.S. boy with terminal cancer has fulfilled his wish to be famous in China.
Dorian Murray of Rhode Island is dying of a rare pediatric cancer known as alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.
Dorian told his father earlier this week that what he really wants before he goes to heaven is to be famous in China. His father posted the wish on Facebook, asking for people in China and elsewhere to send a picture to Dorian with a sign saying "#D-Strong."
The wish spread across the globe, prompting thousands of responses.
People have sent photos from all over China, and it became a trending topic on Weibo, the country's Twitter-like microblog service.
