CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Austin McBroom hit 8 of 12 field goals, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range, and finished with 25 points, and Venky Jois scored 24 with 12 rebounds to help Eastern Washington cruise to a 106-80 win over Southern Utah on Thursday night.
Julian Harrell added 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting for Eastern Washington.
Jois scored 11 — including nine in a row — during a 17-4 run that gave the Eagles (8-8, 2-2 Big Sky) a 23-11 lead with 12 minutes left in the first half.
Eastern Washington led 49-30 at halftime and a 3-point play by Will Ferris pushed the lead to 32, 84-52, with 10:14 to play.
Travon Langston led Southern Utah (3-11, 1-3) with a career-high tying 21 points.
EWU made 38 of 62 (61.3 percent) from the field and shot a season-high 61.1 percent (11 of 18) from 3-point range.
