MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Left-hander Tommy Milone and the Minnesota Twins have agreed to a $4.5 million, one-year contract, a deal that avoids salary arbitration.
The 28-year-old was 9-5 with a 3.92 ERA last year in 23 starts and one relief appearance. He made $2,775,000.
Twins remaining in arbitration include right-handers Kevin Jepsen and Casey Fien; shortstop Eduardo Escobar; infielder Eduardo Nunez and third baseman Trevor Plouffe. Barring agreements, they will swap proposed salaries with Minnesota on Friday.
