RADFORD, Va. (AP) — Taj Owens hit a jumper and added a pair of free throws in the final minute, 24 seconds of overtime and Radford held UNC Asheville scoreless over the final 2:21 to hand the Bulldogs their first loss in six Big South games Thursday night.

Will Weeks scored eight points over a two-minute span in the final 3:32 of regulation, giving Asheville a 77-72 lead, but the Bulldogs did not score again until overtime.

Rashun Davis scored the final five points of regulation for Radford and his layup with 17 seconds remaining tied the game at 77-77 to force overtime.

Davis scored 16 points to lead Radford (10-8, 3-3) and Ed Polite Jr. scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Weeks finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds off the bench to lead UNC Asheville and Dylan Smith added 18 points.
