ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) — Police in southern Utah are investigating after two hikers found a woman's body in a stream.

Authorities say there were no immediate signs of foul play on the body found near a trail in St. George on Thursday.

Police Sgt. Sam Despain says it appears the woman died recently.

Officers are investigating her cause of death. Her name was not immediately released.

The Spectrum of St. George reports that the stream is located near an Intermountain Healthcare Clinic.
