VESTAL, N.Y. (AP) — George Blagojevic scored 20 points and Pancake Thomas and Taylor Dyson each chipped in 18 as Hartford held off Binghamton 76-72 on Wednesday night.
Thomas hit two free throws with 6:05 to play to put the Hawks up 65-55. But Binghamton used a 13-6 run, and Marlon Beck II's 3-pointer cut the lead to 71-68 with 1:21 to play.
Thomas made 1 of 2 free throws and Everson Davis' layup cut the lead to 72-70 with 13 seconds left. But Jalen Ross sank four throws and Hartford (6-11, 1-1 America East) held on.
The Hawks led 37-31 at halftime.
Willie Rodriguez led Binghamton with 19 points, Davis added 17 and eight rebounds while Justin McFadden and Thomas Bruce each scored 11 points.
Binghamton (3-13, 0-3) had a 41-27 edge on rebounds, but also had 18 turnovers to just eight for Hartford.
