PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say a guidance counselor in Prescott Valley has been arrested for allegedly selling heroin and methamphetamine.

County sheriff's officials say 45-year-old Marla Davis was booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center on suspicion of possessing a narcotic drug for sale, possession and use of a dangerous drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and money laundering.

They say Davis has been fired from her job as a case manager at the West Yavapai Guidance Clinic.

Sheriff's officials say Davis has admitted selling drugs on occasion to ex-clients from the clinic.

At a Jan. 8 traffic stop, detectives say Davis was in possession of a counterfeit $100 bill, a methamphetamine pipe and a digital scale with visible heroin and meth residue.

It was unclear Wednesday if Davis has a lawyer yet.
