KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) — Ryan Weber made 10 of 12 field goals and scored a career-high 26 to lead Ball State to a 74-64 win over Western Michigan on Tuesday night.

Franko House scored 15, on 6-of-7 shooting, while Jeremie Tyler added 11 points for Ball State (11-5, 2-1 Mid-American Conference). Naiel Smith had six rebounds, seven assists and two steals.

Weber capped a 16-3 run with back-to-back 3-pointers and put the Cardinals up 49-30 with 16 minutes to play. A layup by Jeremiah Davis about three minutes later pushed the lead to 20 — the biggest of the game.

Ball State made just two field goals over the next 6 1/2 minutes as Western Michigan (6-10, 0-3) trimmed its deficit to 62-54 on a jumper by Anthony Avery Jr. with 7:08 left.

House scored four in a row to push the lead back to double digits and Ball State held on from there.

Thomas Wilder scored 18 and Tucker Haymond added 14 for Western Michigan.
