FORT BRAGG, N.C. (AP) — An Army judge is considering how to handle thousands of documents — many of them classified — that will be part of the case against Sgt. Bowe Berghdal. Bergdahl appeared today before an Army judge for the pretrial hearing at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. He faces charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.

NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho Court of Appeals has overturned a woman's drug possession conviction after finding that the Nampa police detained her based on a "hunch" that she committed a crime. The Idaho Press-Tribune reports31-year-old Natasha Bly was arrested in 2014 after entering a hotel where police believed drug activity was occurring.

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — A northern Idaho man convicted of killing his estranged wife and covering up her murder is seeking a new trial. The Lewiston Tribune reports that Charles Capone's attorneys have filed a motion requested a new trial last week based on testimony that they say discredits Capone's co-defendant.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho lawmakers are starting the 2016 legislative session with a lesson in civility. Legislative leaders invited members of the National Institute for Civil Discourse to host a workshop today. House Speaker Scott Bedke says Idaho lawmakers are already fairly civil, but it doesn't hurt to have a reminder.
