WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Poland's new right-wing prime minister says the nation is ready to accept 400 refugees this year, within a European Union program of relocating migrants.

The previous liberal government agreed to take in some 7,000 refugees in the next two or three years, within an EU program of relocating some of the more than 1 million migrants that arrived in Europe last year.

Prime Minister Beata Szydlo said Tuesday her government was honoring declarations made by her predecessors and was declaring readiness to share in accepting asylum-seekers.

Szydlo said it remained to be seen whether there were any refugees ready to come to Poland.
